CERTIFICATIONS

At the end of the trip, you will receive a Volunteer Certificate, a Course Diploma (if approved) and a Letter of Recommendation (upon request and based on your performance).

PREVENTIVE MEDICINE

Help us to promote health and prevent diseases. We have different educational and environmental activities aimed to reduce morbidity and mortality in the long-term.

PHARMACY MANAGEMENT

Learn the basics of pharmacology, dosage, therapeutic indications, drug interactions and side-effects of the most common prescribed drugs in a primary care clinic.

Immerse yourself in Guatemalan culture with a special day to our volunteers. You will have the opportunity to learn about the history, cuisine, local traditions and Mayan-Spanish heritage.

MEDICAL COURSE

During your trip you will receive a 6-hours medical course, which includes lecture notes and videolectures. Learn about the most common topics seen in a primary care clinic.

Research is key for the development of new knowledge. We have several research projects for you to involved. Participate as a collaborator or co-author and have the opportunity to publish it in a medical journal.

From the moment you arrive until your departure. We use private transportation dedicated only to our volunteers.

We will provide medications, medical supplies, equipment for the clinic, biosafety equipment and more.

TRAINING MATERIAL

Volunteer's manual, medical dictionary, 6 ebooks and videolectures for the medical course.

PROFESSIONALS

Local professional healthcare workers, English-Spanish interpreters, group counsellor and more.

RECREATION

Our fees also cover all the recreational activities listed on your itinerary (transportation, tickets and other charges).

24/7 ASSISTANCE

We will never leave you alone or unattended under any circumstances. A staff member will be always at your disposal.

CERTIFICATIONS

Include Volunteer Certificate, Course Diploma (if approved) and co-author of a research project (if published).

OTHERS

A special t-shirt for you, name tag, recommendation letter from our Program Director (upon request and according your performance).
